An elderly gentleman has been suffering from a large, deformed big toenail. He has been trying to treat the toe with an antifungal topical medicine.
After discussing that the thickness of the nail will not change due to the permanent damage to the toenail, we decided on permanently removing the toenail to give a permanent solution. This will solve the deformed larger nail and eliminating any nail infection or reinfection in the future.
